This is Tina, one of my three Tinks. She's the most quiet and doesn't tend to start trouble on her own.
Doom Bonk on the other hand, is always causing trouble. I have a third little one, but I haven't named her yet and I'm still working on introducing her to the other two.

okay disclaimer: ik that categorizing female characters as the 'mom friend/figure' is a legit disease in fandom caused by general misogynistic views of female characters, and it's something that personally greatly irritates me bc its not only awful to do, it also tends to ruin the characters its put upon. ESPECIALLY in D2, which is outstanding in its cast of strong female characters
however. in the case of Eramis, I do believe that the fact that she was a mother and is a genuinely caring, nurturing person at heart is something that is a deeply important core part of her character, as well as thematically important to the future of the Eliskni moving forward. It's important because in her case, I believe that her motherly inclinations are why, pre-Witness-whispering-through-the-Darkness, Eramis was such a successful kell- because unlike some other kells who sought a future for the Eliksni via domination, her main focus for them was to create a haven for her people that could be defended from Lightbearers. Riis-Reborn wasn't something to sniff at- it was the closest thing to an actual Eliksni city in a very long while. What got her was her trauma of the Whirlwind and her desire to destroy the Traveler to level the playing field for everyone involved- trauma that the Witness preyed upon in order to get to us. Like a parasite, seeking its secondary host. Eramis certainly is not the only Eliksni who lost her family during the Whirlwind, but I think that her specific brand of anger is closest to that of a mother lion whose cubs are in danger, and is lashing out in a furious fight-or-flight reflex at anything that she perceives as a threat. It's just that in this case, her 'cubs' were the Eliksni as a whole, and the threat she perceived before the Witness started torturing her was the Traveler.
I also think that her relationship with parenthood also makes for a very interesting character contrast to Misraaks (aka the other successful kell viewed as a source of hope for the Eliksni), and helps to set them up as antiparallels to each other. Eramis was a gentle, nurturing mother with a reverence for the Traveler who turned into the bitter, cunning warrior we see now when she lost access to her wife and children; Misraaks was a fearsome, ruthless pirate before he became a father, which gentled him and turned him towards being more pious. Eramis represents the old ways, and offers hope to the Eliksni who cannot bear to cohabitate with humanity; Misraaks represents a change in the tide, and kells the open-minded Eliksni who are willing to lay down their arms to live among the humans of Sol. Misraaks is of Light (change, forgiveness, moving forward), while Eramis is of Darkness (memory, control, looking back). They're opposites in every way except for the fact that both of them were/are amazing parents, and I'd argue that their ability to nurture and overlook others is what led to their success as kells.
Most importantly, however, is their relationship to Eido, who represents the future of the Eliksni. Misraaks was her father, and he did his best to raise her to be kind and openminded, but he also shielded her from the horrors of the past a little too well. She's outgrown that, and now that she's strong enough to handle said horrors, Eramis has been acting as a mentor to fully introduce her to the tragedy of what she lost and why elder Eliksni are so angry about it- and I don't think that she would have been receptive to Eido attempting to talk to her if it weren't for the fact that under all of her prickly armour, she's still that nurturing person at heart. It's her desire to care for others and to see a better future for her people that has kept her going despite her having no hope for herself, and it's that loving heart that has saved herself and her people from utter destruction at both our hands and Fikrul's- because if she didn't look at eido and go 'oh this child is the future of our people and i must protect her with my life', then both her and the rest of House Salvation would have been marked for death. And now here she is, continuing to care for Eido even as her father declines by telling her stories about Riis and helping her track down an apothecary to try to cure him, despite her not believing in his ways. I don't think it's entirely because she used to be a mother, but...I do think that it's playing a huge role in it.
(I also think it's personally fascinating to see how someone who used to be known for being a doting, sweet mom to her hatchlings and a caring mate to her wife can turn into someone who's a terrifying warrior on the battlefield and a cunning, politically saavy ruler, but even then, that doesn't surprise me all that much- if you've got a dearth of experience wrangling hatchlings, then being kell of a house is basically just wrangling a bunch of grown-up hatchlings. Same principles, just upped a level or two in complexity.)
#destiny 2#meta analysis#eramis#misraaks#eido#like. i think that eramis is the one (1) example in d2 where motherhood is important to her character#genuinely i can't think of anyone else#even savathun seeking the mother morph was entirely just to live longer instead of being a mom#inaaks maybe but i dont think her being a mother was a core part of her character#like sure it explained why misraaks was the way he was but her story was about the trauma of the drift#whereas with eramis i def. think that her losing access to her wife and children was something that defined how she dealt with her trauma#getting forever locked into this desperate broody hen mode of needing to get those under her to safety#while also ferociously lashing out at everyone and anything she saw as a threat#but do you guys see what i'm seeing here. please tell me you do bc my brain is fried

I ignore about 95% of the conversations surrounding Arya having killed people because, outside of Arya stans, people refuse to include the context of the very violent circumstances she experiences + her trauma which influences her actions. She wasn't destined to be a killer and her being forced on the run, having to survive during a war (at times on her own), having to witness countless people being tortured and murdered, being enslaved as a prisoner of war, having to witness the deaths of her family, etc. are all hugely important factors. Not to mention the times when her life is literally on the line and she has to make tough decisions to ensure her survival. The only time her trauma is acknowledged is when people are using it to prove she's "too far gone", otherwise it's essays on how she hasn't suffered that much. It's so boring how people ignore well-developed characters just to reduce them to one or two aspects of their story. And this treatment is only for certain characters; let someone mention Sansa being part of the plot to poison Sweetrobin and all of a sudden, people can understand being forced to make questionable decisions under difficult circumstances.
#arya stark#asoiaf#fandom nonsense#I'm just so uninterested in the same boring repetitive conversations where people debate fanon characterizations...boring! yawning! sloppy!#Sorry?? I guess that she hasn't had the benefit of being in a castle the whole story with relative safety#but people trying to demonize a child who has one of the most harrowing and violent journeys for the decisions she's been forced to make#is ridiculous cause why are you more worried about how Arya reacted then to the actual situation she's in??#If they're feeling especially faux-progressive they'll pretend to care about Daeron and cry about how innocent he was#but of course this never leads to criticism of Ned or Westerosi society...nope just calling Arya a psychopath and nothing else#At this point it's just jealousy because they know their fave never would've survived what she did and not only did she survive#but she showed off incredible skills and intelligence + has only learned and grown more + constantly gets her importance reinforced#yeah I'd be mad if she wasn't my fave either 🤭#the disconnect between Arya antis and George is so funny cause they twist themselves in knots over how /evil/ she is and then there's#George calling her a character everyone will love ooooh shouldn't have picked one of the author's faves to hate on 🤷🏾♀️

theo and liam always getting paired together in 6b during episodes where all of the other storylines focus on couples going through stuff together is so funny because when you look at it, the only episode where they really get split up is genotype, which is one of the rare episodes where scott ISN’T paired with malia (because he’s with liam) and mason isn’t with corey (because he’s with theo) aka the canon love interests. like these episodes were cutting from shit like scalia almost dying together to thiam having intimate conversations about how liam processes emotions and morey saying i love you to thiam swearing that neither of them are dying for each other 😭 just very amusing to me. theo raeken: the accidental love interest.
#like 😭#6b eps post theo getting kidnapped go pressure test -> triggers -> werewolves of london -> genotype -> 6.19 which i barely remember ->#then wolves of war aka the finale#pressure test: mason & corey are at deatons. theo shows up at the police station w everyone & shoves liam in the bathroom to berate him for#not being worried ab his own safety enough ??? 😭 & hes pretty much attached to liams hip in the group shots#also while theo & scott are outside doing their lil body bag trick malia and liam are pressed right against the window watching both of them#& during triggers we dont see corey but mason leaves theo & liam alone . & its a major bonding ep for them….#while scalia are also having their major bonding moment when they both almost Die#then during werewolves of london theo just shows up at the school and they end up calling scalia for help 😭#and again genotype breaks all the couples off from each other so its mason n theo / scott n liam / malia with her dad#and during wolves of war i literally laughed out loud because it bounces around from jethan to morey to thiam all having heart to hearts#not saying it was intentional but it was very funny framing TO ME#that ao3 tag thats like ‘they are dating in secret but only one is aware’ LIEKDJENEBR#they basically made theo liam’s love interest on accident just bcuz everyone else was already paired off w someone 😭#thiam#saw someone the other day say they just dont get how people Came Up with thiam and its like#ok if you dont ship it whatever but if you say you cant see why youre just lying 😭 look at the material

I didnt really like the newest season of hilda :(
#i dunno i felt like it kinda undermined a bit of the message#for me it was always about hilda being just a normal girl who keeps her mind open for the non human creatures and coexistence#making her super special is kind of dissapointing... and the fairies were an underdeveloped concept#it was kinda funny how everyone else was like 'fairies? thats just silly' when they also didnt know about a lot of other stuff before#like witches existing#i dunno it feels like this whole thing with the fairies should have been a bit more thought out#also i mean i really liked the dad but i would have preferred if he would have never been introduced... i mean he really was not that needed#also her granddad looks like rick from rick and morty and i cant unsee it and its breaking me#i dunno.... i really think the movie would have been the perfect end of the show... because the messages presented in the first two seasons#culminate in this finale of the trolls coming into trollberg#i dunno...#but the creature from the lake absolutely fucks#like thats the kind of shit i want to see#very bad power tool safety in that episode tho

Okay, your Warlock Wally is just the cutest, the design is so well thought out omg!! All the roles you assigned to the neighbors is so fitting too. I love how you made Frank an absolute force to be reckoned with when it comes to fighting! (Looks can be deceiving, and the guy who looks like a twig can essentially snap your leg like one HAHA-)
thank you! i Try!
this made me picture a Scene where when Eddie joins the Neighborhood and it's his first battle with them, he tries to stop Frank bc yeah, he's a glorified stick w/ no weapons. but Julie and everyone is like no no, they're fine. and then Frank proceeds to absolutely wreck their enemies w/ his bare hands & Eddie is having certain Feelings
#a classic 'i can take care of myself' except yes he actually Can take care of themself#and everyone else!#yknow since frank favors hand-to-hand he probably gets a bunch of scrapes and stuff#the potential of battle husbands frank & eddie patching each other up.... ough#eddie bandaging frank's hands <3#frank bandaging eddie's stab wound <3#love language!!!!#honestly they must be unbearable in battle#they're both like 'ill make sure no one hurts you bbg' while Completely Disregarding their own safety#and then julie swoops in and saves both their asses bc she's a bamf like that#with her Giant Sword!#rambles from the bog#wh fantasy au#frank might be an entomologist but he's also well versed in the study of violence#he's the ultimate 'looks can be deceiving' poster child#wait no. Wally is the ultimate 'looks can be deceiving' but frank is a close second!

I don’t think there’s any traitors, the traitor theory actually sucks
If it’s gonna happen a betrayal I believe it’s going to happen during live, I don’t think a betrayal can be hidden under the players circumstances
How can you blame q!Max to be the traitor? When he’s the one who started all the investigations after the loss of his child?
How can you blame q!Foolish to be the traitor? When he clearly has a persona to face the federation, being the perfect model for them and yet being part of the order?
How can you blame q!Jaiden to be the traitor? When she’s a grieving mother and swore to protect the eggs and wants safety for everyone in the island?
The traitor theory sucks hard man, qsmp is about love
All these people are united, and despite their differences they all are there to protect who they love
#IsaSpeaks#I kept thinking about yesterday#q!Baghera and q!Bad are suspicious of her#even though q!Jaiden wants to protect the eggs as much as anyone else#she wants safety for everyone#the federation set her up#qsmp#Quackity smp#smp

E22 is certainly all about the deepest fears and suspicions of the characters related to belonging (or rather, NOT belonging) that accumulate through the whole episode (as it gets more and more likely for them to be fully realized), which in turn makes the jealousy and/or resentment within these characters grow.
Ibrahim starts off still ruminating on Beyhan's words from a previous event relayed to him through Hatice in the previous episode, so his fear is immediately established: the fear of his death coming forth regardless, and from the sultan's hands worst of all; of his place in SS's heart, in the family's hearts, ultimately always ending up shaky and temporary; of him being discarded and erased at a moment's notice; of him never actually meaning anything to anyone, thus he aims for the biggest sense of belonging out of everyone else here: SS is most valuable to him, of course, as this is his first bond in this foreign world, but that value and his approval also turn out predicated and empowered by the value and approval everyone else gives him too. As it all begins from the possibility of a future action of SS and his bad mood that could possibly mean anything in the next day, then it goes to Mustafa's opinion on Ibrahim's closeness to SS, and then it circles back to SS again as a reaction to Mustafa's reaction (hence the smallest recurring disapproval, as Mustafa's stance here is a continuation of Mustafa's remark in E03, means wide disapproval — this is why in Ibrahim's dream everyone is out there witnessing and almost delighting in his execution; even Hatice who is clearly sad, is portrayed with resignation, as if the execution is an inevitablity she has to accept and never go against - this is of course also informed by what Ibrahim has seen of Hatice so far, how she couldn't oppose SS's decision to marry her to Mehmet Celebi even though she loves Ibrahim and aches inside and always claims to not be able handle it if she loses him, so the only thing he can say and do is try to spare her the pain). Ibrahim has to fully belong in order not to be reminded of what he's lost before and what he can lose now, but his sense of belonging is so fragile that every little thing can create big, irreparable cracks, bringing him to realize that he never actually belonged anywhere and what's more striking, he has nowhere to belong now as he's lost everything. This is terrifying to him and he can't share it with anyone (not even Hatice could really provide him solace: she calmed him down a bit, sure, but she also related to Mustafa's motives - right on par with Hatice's theme of relating this episode - that perhaps meaning to Ibrahim that even she can't be reliable, that even she could turn her similar possessiveness against him, if she can muster to do even that), so he buries it deep - he is the only one who doesn't lash out due to his fear in this episode, but this sense of fear beginning with him colors the whole rest of the episode and remains an omen of what's to come next. It's this fear that will make him more offensive, more insistent to secure his position even more and remove everyone who stands on the way of that, even in this season finale.
Mustafa's fear is established by one event in this exact episode that puts him at odds with his brother more directly than ever before (there's a reason why this is their first lesson together): the fear of him not becoming a padişah; of him being replaced by someone else, and by someone else who he too loves worst of all; of his efforts not being recognized; of his father leaving him behind forever, not wanting him, not loving him anymore; of him not having the future he's been eager and preparing to have, what's his use if he doesn't have it?, in that case the only thing he can do is disappear, thus he aims for a narrower sense of belonging: he cares about the rest of his family, but his father's love matters to him most of all. He looks up to him and is inspired by him, trying his best to follow his example in order to be the best he can be. And he is constantly encouraged by everyone to be the best he can be, so when even the smallest threat to that come up, his whole self is challenged, so what's left is to lash out, to defend his beliefs and mindset, to make this fear known in order to evade it. He doesn't belong without his father's love that gives him all he craves. He can't belong if that isn't there. And his belonging predicates on him being prioritized at all times, as this isn't a place reserved only for him, it turns out; anyone can take it away. So Mehmet's assertion plants this fear, while Ibrahim's place next to SS confirms it (Mahidevran here, just like Hatice with Ibrahim, tried to comfort Mustafa by putting Mehmet's words into context as well to an extent, but Mustafa actually managed to ease up until the Ibrahim matter popped up), so Mustafa's reaction is precisely that kind of lashing out. The lashing out culminates the episode but there's some finality attached to it as well, as it is the last such clash Mustafa has with Ibrahim (with him realizing his mistake afterwards) - from that point on, they will fully be a source of support for one another. Even his jealousy of Mehmet that sets up the future becomes more restrained.
Gülşah's fear is established by a series of events in this exact episode, feeding into each other and fueling her at every turn: the fear of falling into disgrace alongside with her closest person, or on her own worst of all; of being scolded by both the person she loves and the person she hates; of being mocked and ridiculed; of being denied the agency to do anything about it, as everyone else overpowers her either by being above her or simply being the majority. Her fear seems the most driven out of self-preservation, not so much out of a desire to belong at first, however these two are interlinked for her as well. Her very survival is predicated by the most narrow sense of belonging: on her sultana, the only person who can give her any sense of belonging. Her job is being next to her, so she has to share her joys and sorrows, but she also gets her sense of respect and worth namely from that role, so she can't help but make these joys and sorrows her own. E22 is the first time this is challenged however, since we see her outside of her sultana for the first time, as even what she has to do due to her role as her servant (taking Mustafa from the lessons and defending him) and as a servant in general (bringing Mehmet to Hürrem), is challenged and that whole facade of respect from others due to her sultana is fully broken (even Nigar's threats and almost drowning Gülşah before are because of something Mahidevran's ordered and done, this here has next to nothing to do with Mahidevran) and then her own wishes to seek justice and accountability are uncovered, but the more her sultana seems to not join in, the more Gülşah loses every sense of belonging in each moment (the mockery of the girls of the harem is only there to accentuate that loss and reveal how alone she is) and the only thing she can do is desperately tie them to her sultana, to cling to her in order to convince herself of her righteousness, of how she hasn't lost her sense of belonging actually, isn't that right?? She has no choice: the disillusionment, the resentment only grow throughout the entire episode and she can't really share the full extent of her sorrow with anyone - even her sultana wants her to suck it and wait, but she's sick of waiting, of being humiliated, so she provides the final imminent lashing out of the episode, the one that sets up the future the most in terms of Gülşah's relationship with Mahidevran, as well as it sets up the main deal of the very next episode.
#(there's also Hürrem's fear with which E22 begins that kind of mirrors all of these fears)#(Ibrahim's in terms of the slightest disapproval from the dynasty threatening to strip her from her biggest sense of belonging Süleiman)#(Gülşah's in terms of narrowing down the sense of belonging to Süleiman as she's rejected by everyone else she could reach out to)#(Mustafa's in terms of the possibility of her being replaced with anyone else in SS's heart and what's worse she's seen it happen already#with others and this raises the possibility for this to happen to her even more; she has to be the one and only to gain security#and safety and assert herself in this way)#(except her fear is actually *quenched* in the episode and she's given a sense of relief instead)#(paving the way for all the other fears to threaten that sense of relief yet again soon enough or much later in time)#magnificent century#muhteşem yüzyıl#muhtesem yuzyil#ibrahim pasha#sehzade mustafa#gulsah hatun#in the tags also#hurrem sultan

Always funny to me when my coworkers notice how much of a germaphobe I am when they see me wipe down my cart in the morning. I dont just wipe the handle, I wipe the top of the sides and the top part of the baby seat, places where people grab other than the handle. Then I use hand sanitizer bc by that point I've touched: the cart, the scanner locker screen and locker, my scanner (also wipe that shit down, yuck), my lock, and the spray bottle. So yucky places.
I mean hey maybe I'm not giving my immune system that boost of exposure, but I'm also not giving it covid, norovirus, or influenza from touching the cart and scanner so 🤷♀️
#marquilla#sometimes it gets them to wipe down their cart or at least their scanner lol#im always hounding RC to not chew her nails bc the forklift handle is FILTHY and to wear a mask#everyone else can build or break their immune systems with the abundence of germs about and mask/clean at their own discretion#which is like never sgdggdgdgd but yknow im sure them all getting colds and the flu are just coincidence#im so scared im gonna jinx it and get sick myself sgdgdgd like im more so worried ab covid bc that fucker has gotten me 2x at least and i#got long covid from both times 😠 im less scared ab getting other sickness but i do hold a grudge if i KNOW who got me sick#like i got pneumonia in hs bc this fucking kid in my class had it and kept coming to school and i was out for like 3 weeks AND had to go to#the hospital overnight 🙄 fuckhead oh and he was apparently notorious for skipping school to play video games in middle school#WHY NOT STAY HOME IN HS TOO?? i also had to go in an ambulance and it was awkward as hell bc it was just a transfer from the urgent care/er#to the kids hospital and you cant drive yourself or have your parents take you bc theres a chain of custody and shit#ANYWAYS spritz spritz motherfucker im lysoling you all for your own safety

togiri is so funny to me because they probably wouldn't be caught dead doing something as vulnerable and sappy as holding hands in public but in private they're into gunplay or something
#togiri#nsft#it seems like something they'd do. kyoko is the one wielding the gun bc she had to take a safety course to get her license#they do hold hands but they strike me to be very private about their relationship#and act very snarky towards each other to the point where everyone else wonders if they hate each other#but they work together amazingly well#and have crazy nasty sloppy sex at night

i once saw someone contrast miko.fuu by claiming that f.uuta’s individualistic while mi.koto is not, but i would argue that miko is the one who puts himself first in his mind in most situations…….??? ?
#lem text#🧯 cue-to-cue <3#🎞️#LIKE OK OK I KNOW THE WHOLE THING THAT PUSHED MIKO TO MURDER IN THE FIRST PLACE WAS LETTING HIMSELF BE USED BY OTHER PEOPLE#but LIKE in the grand scheme of things he was always doing all of it for his *own* future benefit. right. Y’KNOW#he ACKNOWLEDGES that his job is harmful to him but goes along w/ whatever’s asked of him with HIS career in mind . yaknow .#even when he worries about being a burden it’s more about his own pride & value of independence right??? yes???#f.uuta is also tricky because like. she’s Unable to fit in easily so she acts the opposite n pretends to be independent and uncaring#but all of her actions were; at their core; driven by her want for community? yes??#LIKE the First thing she does in mlgrm is try to rally everyone together to try and escape and she’s shut down so she becomes distant#liek take the timeline convo with k.azui where he gives f.uuta a bank robbery scenario and asks what she’d do#the exchange is obv meant to communicate ‘ooo f.uuta is reckless and acts without thinking’#BUT she says she’d try to take down the culprit *to protect everyone else* even if she wasn’t entirely sure it was safe#see if miko was in that situation he’d Run FNDKDN he’d be thinking about his own safety!!!!#they both try to connect with others in mlgrm; you CAN see that miko DOES enjoy being around the others but he also expresses-#multiple times that he also views it as ways to make liek. networking connections. and he acts polite and friendly for reputation’s sake#he IS a RIDICULOUS people-pleaser to the point where it RUINS his LIFE but he was doing it for his dream yaknow.#‘all i did was dream’ ‘my life wasn’t supposed to turn out this way’ blabla you understand are u seeing what i mean#i guess an important detail is that he’s prioritizing his *future* self instead of his *present* self but it is still himself#obviously they’re very complex characters and cannot be fit into black-n-white boxes of ‘Does Things For Other People/Does Things For Self’#but i think it’s important to see that miko’s actions are not one-to-one indicative of his mindset. or something. YOU GET IT? QUESTION MARK#anyway good morning EHFKNZ <33 shaking these two around at top speeds.

“Sorry I didn’t warn you that I sleepwalk. Didn’t mean to become your sleep paralysis demon.”-dan heng
He was still in the midst of processing, the heel of his palm rubbing at his eye. The databank room was barely lit, but he could see her shape cutting a silhouette in the light that filled the corridor behind her.
"Aeyanira. . ." He drowsily grumbled her name as he pushed himself into standing. "It's fine. I didn't mean to fall asleep, anyway."
Dozing off while working wasn't as embarrassing for him as it might be for others, but it was mildly frustrating knowing he had spent that time sleeping rather than organizing like he had intended.
"Are you heading back to bed?"

what do you guys think kaeyas horse would be called :-)
#x#gi posting#i told myself i would post abt smth else bc i’ve had kaeya on the brain too much but. Well.#i’m trying to figure out what i want from his horse. i Think i want crepus to have let kaeya pick her out to learn to ride her when he was#still relatively young#maybe 11ish? and i think diluc mustve obviously known how to ride beforehand#maybe he’s had his ‘own’ horse for a little longer too#anyways. all i know is that kaeyas is a mare (stil researching the breed. let me be) and she’s an absolute nightmare to handle in the modern#day. she only lets kaeya groom her and whatnot🥹 she wasn’t taken when varka left bc it honestly would’ve been a safety hazard to even try#i like to think she was more chill during his teen years but became nastier after. you know#also she is kaeya’s one blind spot i think it would be SOOOO funny if he’s convinced she’s still his gorgeous angel when everyone else#is just like kaeya she’s a MENACE#also he calls her darling when he talks to her. he’s such a horse girl in my heart
